Dear Friends,
I have been here for a few months, and I need to let you know why I am excited to be here!
- These people love one another, and it is apparent the first time you come and visit. They are concerned about what is going on in each others lives and actively support people as they go through life’s joys and sorrows. We are in the process of becoming a Reconciling in Christ Congregation which means that we will state openly and publicly that we welcome people of all gender identities and gender expressions as well as work for racial and gender justice so that all of God’s Children can live the life that God created them to live.
- This love carries over into our worship. We have a great band that leads us in music and song, playing praise songs as well as traditional hymns. All of the words are projected on a screen so that it is easy to follow and sing along. Added to this are sermons that connect the Word of God to our daily lives. Sermons are short, direct, and easily understood such that even children are engaged in listening.
- This love carries over into our stewardship. We are constantly involved in projects and walks that seek to serve the underserved in our community through direct giving or raising funds for community organizations.
If you are looking for a faith community that actively lives out its faith and truly welcomes all people, I invite you to come and see the exciting things that God is doing here.
